- Duda launches “Fill template with AI” to improve AI-generated websites
- The feature injects custom content into templates without altering the layout or structure.
- The tool guarantees high Core Web Vital scores, boosting SEO and site performance.
Website building platform Duda has just introduced a new feature that aims to solve a big problem with AI-generated websites.
In a press release shared with TechRadar Pro earlier this week, Duda said that most AI-generated and “vibe-coded” websites suffer from the same ailments: repetitive layouts, insecure and unoptimized code.
To fix this, the company created a new feature called “Fill Template with AI.” It works by analyzing the structure of a website template to identify content injection opportunities. It then updates the text and widgets with new content, while ensuring it remains relevant to the specific customer the website is being created for.
The overall structure and layout of the website does not change in the process, Duda says, emphasizing that the process can be modified further by giving the AI instructions on style or tone. Directives can also be given to the AI to highlight specific selling points or avoid certain phrases or clichés.
Implementation for partners
The tool, which Duda says is an “industry-first,” will be available first to Duda partners via an API, before its global launch.
The company also says that because the core template is built using its website architecture (rather than being generated by AI), sites will retain the industry’s highest average Core Web Vital scores. This should help with website visibility and overall search engine optimization.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has made a grand entry into the world of website development, completely transforming the industry. Most of the best website builders today offer an AI chatbot, giving designers, agencies, and individuals an easy, conversational way to create and modify websites. In addition to being used for design, AI is also used to populate sites with content, images, and other vital elements.
