As the Beckham family drama deepens, David Beckham has refrained from making a direct comment on any of the tensions.
However, the doting father, who often playfully roasts his children, sent a direct message to his estranged son, Brooklyn, while collaborating with close friend Gordon Ramsay.
The British celebrity chef, who is going through drama regarding his son-in-law Adam Peaty, shared an update.
David, a legendary former footballer, showed off one of his many skills: cooking. In a video clip, Gordon and David are seen on a video call in which David prepares a scallop risotto.
“Usually when David Beckham calls it’s about football, but he surprised me when he was cooking one of my homemade recipes,” Gordon had written on Instagram.
Before marrying Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn had tried to launch himself as a chef while sharing videos of himself cooking simple recipes. However, most of the time he was criticized and criticized for his skills, which were often considered mediocre.
Although he devoted himself to cooking for a while, he seemed to have abandoned that idea and modified it by selling his own hot sauce.
Fans in the comments were quick to note that this was a slight towards the 26-year-old.
“Discreet dig in Brooklyn [crying laughing emoji]”wrote the commenter.
“Brutal, chef to chef, fuggg u Brooklyn,” said a second.
“Better than @brooklynpeltzbeckham”
However, not everyone was happy with the video.
One said: “If this has been done to hit your son (which is what it is portrayed in the British newspapers as such)… then as a parent I find it disgusting.”
The update comes a week after Brooklyn made a series of shocking Instagram Stories posts about her family. He broke his silence on the current rumors about a rift in the family and clearly stated that “[does] I don’t want to reconcile with [his] family.”
He noted: “They are not controlling me, I am defending myself for the first time in my life.”
