Halle Berry says she is entering a new stage in her life and has no intention of staying silent about it.
The Oscar-winning actress, who will turn 60 later this year, opened up about aging, visibility and her plans for the future as she posed for a stunning new photo shoot with The cut.
At 59, Berry said she is embracing what she calls her “menopause mission” and is determined to speak out more than ever.
“When you get older, you stop being as big as a pork chop,” Berry shared, explaining how the way women are viewed in Hollywood changes with age.
He added that growing older can come with a feeling of being left out.
“You get to this age where you feel like you’re being marginalized, devalued. You feel it at work. You feel it in society… But I’ve firmly decided that I’m not going to allow myself to be erased.”
That mentality is reflected not only in his words, but also in his work.
According to the publication, Berry is preparing for a busy year ahead, as she will produce three series and seven films in 2026, in addition to starring in all of them.
The whiteboard underscores his point that he is not slowing down, professionally or personally.
Berry also reflected on the personal work that helped her reach this stage of self-acceptance.
She credits attending a wellness retreat a few years ago with changing the way she views herself and her relationships.
“I realized that I was simply reflecting images of myself in a mirror, people who were broken, people with childhood injuries that had not been treated,” he said.
“I had to face the pain of what happened to me as a child and reveal my secrets. I had to get it out of my body so I could fully love myself and show myself to my own children.”
That self-love has also been visible on their social networks.
Berry celebrated her 59th birthday in August by sharing stunning photos on Instagram, and then revisited the Bond-style images with another swimsuit post with the caption: “This is 59.”
As he looks toward the year 2026, Berry makes it clear that age has not diminished his voice, ambition, or presence.
If anything, she says, it has given her the freedom to be louder, more visible and more herself than ever.
