The British monarch’s office has made an exciting announcement amid Andrew’s downfall.
The British have received welcome news from Buckingham Palace. The royal household has offered positions that come with “a generous benefits package designed to support your well-being and life priorities.”
Among the available positions is a residency opportunity, meaning the successful candidate will reside on actual land. No previous experience is required for the vacancy.
“Our team members work collaboratively and have the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of cooking. With training and support built into our team culture, you will be encouraged to develop your skills,” according to the job posting.
“Although you will be based at Buckingham Palace, you will also work in different royal residences throughout the year.”
Applications for the Kitchen Porter position will close on Saturday 21 March and the successful applicant will begin work in June 2026 on a fixed-term contract.
It is a full-time position that requires up to 45 hours a week, Monday through Sunday, although employees will only work five days out of every seven.
While experience “in a similar role would be an advantage”, it is not essential as the full training will be delivered on-site.
Other qualities Palace are looking for include someone who takes genuine pride in their work, who thrives as part of a team, who is “happy to get involved” and who is “willing to develop their skills and gain experience within an exceptional team environment”.
The advertisement does not specify an exact salary figure, but states that the salary is “competitive plus benefits.”
