QUETA:
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday reaffirmed that government jobs in the province would be filled on merit and would not be sold under any circumstances.
In a statement, the premier said the provincial government is taking practical steps to provide decent employment opportunities to the youth.
As part of these efforts, advertisements have already been published for over 25,000 government jobs from grade 1 to 15. He emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen good governance by ensuring that jobs are offered strictly on merit.

He assured that recruitment for these positions will be carried out through a transparent, fair and constitutional mechanism.
The Prime Minister added that in departments where tests and interviews have already been completed, appointment orders will be issued promptly to avoid unnecessary delay to selected candidates.
He also announced that an online testing system similar to that used by the finance department will be introduced for vacancies in other departments. This system, he said, will ensure that recruitment is done exclusively on the basis of merit, eliminating favoritism and corruption.
Bugti emphasized that merit-based recruitment is the foundation of good governance and the provincial government will not compromise on this principle.
He categorically reiterated his promise that jobs meant for the people of Balochistan will not be bartered or sold, assuring that every eligible candidate will be given his or her rightful opportunity strictly on the basis of merit.
