All the Elite Wrestling fans made their feelings about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) known during a match on “Dynamite” on Wednesday.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) faced Brody King in an eliminator match for the AEW World Championship. Should King be victorious over the reigning champion, he would earn an AEW World Championship match at the Australian Grand Slam next weekend.

The two men, in their respective corners, stared at each other. The crowd at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas erupted into chants of “f— ICE.” MJF and King seized the moment for another second or two before the match began.

King ended up defeating MJF fairly quickly after “Hangman” Adam Page diverted the champion’s attention. He got the title shot the next weekend.

It wasn’t the first time in the last year that an AEW star has been involved in an anti-ICE moment.

King was part of a 14-person tag team match at the Mexico Grand Slam in June. He was wearing a T-shirt that said “Abolish ICE.” The event took place in Mexico City and occurred as ICE tensions escalated in Los Angeles.
