LAHORE:

The Lahore deputy commissioner’s (DC) office has imposed a strict ban on Basant-related activities near the airport’s flight paths.

A meeting was held at the DC Lahore office to review measures to prevent Basant festivities in the vicinity of airports, which was attended by PAA officials. The meeting agreed to implement a zero tolerance policy for kite flying in airport areas.

The district administration commended the PAA for its efforts in safeguarding aviation operations, while stakeholders emphasized the need for effective and sustained collaboration to maintain long-term aviation security.

Authorities warned that any violation of the ban could lead to strict legal action, underscoring the importance of keeping flight paths clear during the Basant festival.
