NYT Strands Today (Game #706): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 706 are…
- BORED
- MUNDANE
- SAD
- TIRED
- MONOTONOUS
- SPANGRAM: LOOK PAINT DRY
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
This game came with the longest spangram we’ve seen since October, with 16-letter WATCHINGPAINTDRY taking up a large portion of the board.
That spangram looked to me like it was shaped like a football goal, which is possibly why I thought the entire questionnaire was made up of words describing the deathly BORING performances of my team, Brighton & Hove Albion, this season as we plummet into the mid-league “Boo-ooo-ring” after an endless succession of draws and defeats which will hopefully change tomorrow afternoon.
Anyway, I digress. I’m sure the topic was much more general than an inquiry into the English Premier League, but I had to maintain my interest somehow.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Friday, February 6, game #705)
- EYES
- CHEEKS
- NOSE
- EYEBROWS
- MOUTH
- HAIRLINE
- FOREHEAD
- SPANGRAM: CHARACTERISTICS
