A two-judge bench will hear the petitions at 9 am while notices are issued to all parties and lawyers

ISLAMABAD:
The Supreme Court on Saturday posted 13 different petitions pertaining to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi for hearing on February 9.
According to the supplementary case list released, a two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan will take up the petitions at 9 am on Monday.
Among the petitions set for hearing are the Punjab government’s appeal against granting bail to the PTI founder and its appeal against the bail of Bushra Bibi.

The appeal hearing against the criminal complaint filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan against Imran has also been set.
Imran’s appeal against the case registered against him under the Official Secrets Act and the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) case against the former prime minister in connection with Al-Qadir Trust were also set for hearing.
The court will also take up the appeal against the acquittal of PTI founder and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the Cipher case as well as the government’s appeal against the former prime minister’s bail in the May 9 Lahore cases.
In the defamation case, a hearing has also been set for Imran’s appeals against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Registrar’s Office issued notices to all relevant parties and their attorneys about upcoming hearings.
Imran has been jailed since August 2023 and is currently serving a sentence in Adiala Jail in a £190 million corruption case. He also faces pending lawsuits under the Anti-Terrorism Act over the protests on May 9, 2023. The party has expressed concern in recent days over Imran’s health and demanded treatment from its own team of doctors.
