Popular American rapper JID, whose real name is Destin Choice Route, is very excited to be featured on Jill Scott’s latest album.
Shortly after, Scott, 53, released his sixth studio album, titled Who might be interested in this?On February 13, the 35-year-old musician took to his Instagram Stories to express his excitement over their collaboration.
From the three-time Grammy winner’s 19-track project, the duo made one song together, called To be honest.
“Nahhhhh, wait!!! Ms. Jilly and J.ID, I’m about to lose my mind!!!” the Atlanta-born and raised artist wrote over a screenshot of the lyrics. “She is my whole heart!!! @missjillscott.”
“Let me be [red heart, crown and strong emoji]”he added.
Although JID is not yet a household name, he is very popular within the hip-hop community, widely recognized as a top-notch lyricist and one of the best of his generation.
Curiously, To whom It May Concern It marked Scott’s return to the music scene, as it is his first full-length project in over a decade.
The R&B star gave his long-suffering fans the news they’ve been waiting for, the announcement of new music, via a social media post on January 2.
