In total, Edwards scored 32 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while making 13 of 22 field goals in the game.

This new format, while the NBA was trying to revitalize its All-Star Game, made the Intuit Dome crowd go crazy with its play and quick finishes.

There were two teams from the United States facing off against Team World in a round-robin format with four 12-minute games. Each team had a minimum of eight players throughout the tournament in Los Angeles.

In the first matchup between Team Stars and Team Stripes, San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox hit a game-winning three-pointer to seal the victory.

Then, Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes hit a game-winning 3-pointer in overtime to defeat Team World.

Then, Edwards, Jalen Duren of the Detroit Pistons, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns and Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers reached the finals, defeating Team Stripes, which included LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant of the Houston Rockets and hometown favorite Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers.

Team Stripes may have had future Hall of Famers on their roster, but it was Team Stars who had the most gas in the end, with the former tiring from the previous games.

It will be interesting to see if this format will be maintained for the NBA in the future, but the reception seemed to be positive among fans in the building and those watching at home as this All-Star weekend came to a fun conclusion.
