- Battlefield 6 Producer Phil Girette believes season 2 is the “strongest” yet.

- He adds that Season 2 will be the “foundation” for future updates.
A Battlefield Studios developer has said Battlefield 6 Season 2 is the “strongest” yet and is believed to bring back players who may have left the game after Season 1.
In an interview with TechRadar Gaming, producer Phil Girette and associate producer Kit Eklof talked about the latest season, which is available now. They said they are confident that those who have stopped smoking for a while after the launch of Arch Raiders – another great online shooter – will be back to try it out.
According to Girette, while the game had a successful launch that saw an incredible number of players (which even surpassed that of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7) The extension of season 1 caused many players to drop.
“So we launched Battlefield 6 and we were very happy to have had a smooth launch for once. And then moving on to season 1, I think the key is because, […] “There were a lot of people who spent a lot of time playing, what broke that rhythm was the extension we did of season 1,” Girette said.
“We looked at the content we have in Season 2 and just said, ‘It needs a little more time in the oven to polish it more.'”
He continued: “Season 2 is definitely bigger than what we did in Season 1. We have the maps, we think they’re going to be pretty strong. We have additional gameplay mechanics. We have popular vehicles returning like Little Bird. There’s a brand new addition in REDSEC himself too.”
Eklof echoed that sentiment, saying, “If you’re really a diehard Battlefield fan, there are so many things that are in the Battlefield DNA to which we are adding Battlefield 6 here, which I think is really exciting and also some innovations as well. I think it’s great.”
Season 2 has a lot of new content, including new weapons, vehicles, Battle Pass, and even a new map with a toxic gas similar to the poison gas in Battlefield 1.
When asked if he thinks Season 2 is the best season the team has done so far, Girette argued that it was the “strongest” and that it will lay the groundwork for future seasons in the future.
“Does it do the perfect thing Battlefield Is there a season?” he said. “Everyone sat together and said, ‘This is really, really strong.’ We want to use season 2 as a foundation for the future; This is the level we must reach. We hope the players think the same, but I think this is going to be the strongest season. [yet].”
