The Netflix docuseries titled Being Gordon Ramsay just landed on the streaming platform, allowing viewers to take a peek behind the curtain of his life.

He says: ‘Unfortunately I had a torrid relationship with my father. My father once called me a snob. And I said, “No, I’m definitely not a snob. I just want to get out of the shitty mess I was born into.”
For those who don’t know, Gordon juggled three jobs to support his family and lived in 15 different council properties while growing up.
The chef remembers the weekends when he “almost saw his father ruin his life because of alcohol.”
And he continues: ‘It’s difficult, isn’t it? When someone is an alcoholic? It’s very hard to relate to that, because you’re just… you’re nervous.
“You worry about, you know, touching the end of the bottle and seeing that bottle of Bacardi disappear, because you know what happens at the end.”
However, Gordon turned to cooking after his football career was cut short due to a knee injury.
