Nintendo just released Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

  • Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (there are many editions) is now available
  • This version promises 4K resolution at up to 60 fps
  • The update is available on the Nintendo eShop and will be physically released in April.

In a bit of news that made me pinch myself just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, Nintendo has actually left the Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.

Horrendous naming convention aside, the Switch 2 Edition is now available to purchase digitally on the Nintendo eShop. And as always, owners of the original Switch version can upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition for a small fee. A physical version will also be available on April 16, 2026, and it looks like it will be entirely in the cart rather than a Game-Key Card release.
