Four terrorists killed in Lakki Marwat IBO: ISPR

Security forces killed four terrorists affiliated with banned “Indian proxy” Fitna al-Khwarij“Carried out intelligence based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the army’s media wing said on Thursday.

Fitna al-Khawarij is a term the state uses to refer to terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, following reports about the presence of militants.

“During the operation, our own troops effectively engaged the kwarij location and after an intense exchange of fire, four kwarij “They were sent to hell,” the statement said.

The ISPR added that arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who it said had continued to actively participate in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

He further said that disinfection operations were being carried out to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists found in the area.

“The relentless anti-terror campaign under the vision of ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’, approved by the Federal Supreme Committee on National Action Plan, by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue in full swing to eliminate the menace of foreign sponsored terrorism from the country,” the statement added.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the successful operation.

According to a statement issued by the media wing of the prime minister’s office, PM Shehbaz said the security forces were achieving significant successes in the fight against terrorism. He reaffirmed the government’s determination to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.

The Prime Minister further stated that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the war against terrorism and remained committed to ensuring lasting peace and stability in the country.

Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the brave security personnel for carrying out the timely and effective operation.

He praised the professionalism and bravery demonstrated by the forces, stating that the entire nation viewed their actions with appreciation and pride.

Naqvi emphasized that with the support of the nation, terrorism would be completely eradicated and no leniency would be shown to the enemies of the state.
