ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices on appeals against the conviction of lawyer Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha in the controversial tweets case.
The court also notified the defendants of the reasons for suspending their sentences and requested their response.
Judge Muhammad Asif heard appeals against the conviction of the two accused. Faisal Siddiqui, Zainab Janjua and others appeared on behalf of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha.
The petitioner’s lawyer said the next hearing should be scheduled soon.
