Alison Hammond has been criticized for using a “stupid” comment about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest on air.

For those who don’t know, the former royal was arrested on his 66th birthday.
Speaking about the explosive news, Alison, 51, shared her two thoughts on Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest on her birthday.
She told her co-stars, “They could have done it yesterday, the day before her birthday.”
Alison continued: ‘It’s developing, we don’t know much beyond what you just said. All we know is that the police can tell him.
However, his comment didn’t sit well with viewers, who responded and called it “weird.”
One wrote: ‘Alison said “surely they didn’t have to arrest him on his birthday.” What a strange comment about an “alleged” predator.’
