- Another iPhone 2026 rumor has surfaced
- iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Fold could launch together
- They will probably make their debut in September.
Apple will be busy launching multiple contenders for our best iPhone guide this year, and a new leak points to something we’ve heard before about the 2026 timeline: that the foldable iPhone will launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro.
This comes from tipster Momentary Digital (via Wccftech), who says mass production of both phones will begin around July, with a big reveal presumably scheduled for September, the traditional iPhone launch month.
We should see the iPhone 18 Pro Max at the same launch event, but it doesn’t look like the phones will be joined by the standard iPhone 18. That model has been delayed until early 2027, according to reports.
It’s unclear why Apple is changing its standard release schedule – and none of this has been officially confirmed yet, of course – but it’s a safe bet that Apple believes it could sell more iPhones overall by splitting up launches this way.
iPhones for everyone
Let’s not forget the iPhone 17e, the successor to the iPhone 16e, which we hope will arrive any day now. This should give more budget-conscious Apple fans an attractive alternative to the flagship phones in the range.
As for the iPhone Fold, such a device has been rumored for years, but given the increasing frequency of rumors and reports about it, it seems that this is the year that Apple finally decides to launch a foldable phone.
Rumors surrounding the device suggest that Apple has been working hard to make the screen crease as invisible as possible, and we can expect a phone that is both eye-catching and powerful and, no doubt, very expensive.
There have also been quite a few rumors about the iPhone 18 Pro, including that it could have a smaller dynamic island. Like every year, there will undoubtedly also be an increase in the performance of the internal chipset.
