Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will pay an official visit to Qatar from February 23 to 24 at the invitation of Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister Ishaq Dar along with other ministers and senior officials.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, the visit reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two countries and underlines their shared commitment to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation.
While in Doha, the Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar, covering the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, including political engagement, economic collaboration, energy partnership and people-to-people exchanges.
Both sides will also explore new avenues of cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development and labor export.
Pakistan and Qatar enjoy a long-standing partnership marked by mutual trust and close coordination in regional and international forums, the statement added.
The visit will also provide an opportunity for the two leaders to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest and reaffirm their determination to work together for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s previous visit to Doha was primarily aimed at attending the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit convened in response to Israeli airstrikes on Qatar and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
During the visit, he sought to build Arab and Muslim unity against what he called Israeli aggression, proposed the formation of a joint Arab-Islamic working group and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza along with a renewed push toward a two-state solution.
The trip also included high-level diplomatic engagements on the sidelines of the summit to coordinate regional responses and express Pakistan’s solidarity with Qatar.
