A free demo for Zero parades: for dead spiesthe next game Elysée Nightclub Studio ZA/UM, has landed, giving you the chance to try out the upcoming spy role-playing game (RPG) months before its full release.
The demo is only available on PC and is part of Steam Next Fest, a digital event aimed at celebrating some of the biggest upcoming games. It allows you to try out the first few hours of the game, albeit with some important mechanics removed or adjusted for the purpose of the demo.
This includes a variety of dialogue options that have been removed to avoid spoiling the full release, plus some balance adjustments, presumably made to accommodate the much shorter overall playtime.
Two main missions are included, plus a lot of side content. Progress will not carry over to the full game, so you can experiment with different dialogue options without the threat of lasting consequences.
Something of a spiritual successor to the studio’s previous game, Elysée Nightclub, Zero parades: for dead spies It features equally beautiful isometric art direction and an equally deep dialogue system.
You play as exhausted spy Hershel Wilk, called into the field for one last mission years after a catastrophic failure in the field destroyed your reputation.
It’s an interesting premise and I’m looking forward to diving into it when the full game releases for PlayStation 5 and PC later this year. If you’re interested in trying out the demo, be sure to act quickly as it’s only available until March 16.
