ISLAMABAD:
A team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrive in Pakistan on Wednesday (today) to begin discussions on the third economic review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFS) programme, focusing on fiscal performance, structural reforms and compliance with agreed policy conditions.
According to Finance Ministry officials, the IMF review mission will remain in Pakistan until March 11 to assess economic indicators and review the progress of the loan agreement. They said the first phase of talks will be held in Karachi, followed by detailed negotiations in Islamabad.
