Circle (CRCL) shares rose more than 15% in premarket trading after the stablecoin issuer’s fourth-quarter earnings per share (EPS) beat analysts’ forecasts.
The USDC stablecoin issuer posted EPS of $0.43, compared to a consensus estimate of $0.16, according to FactSet data.
The New York City-based company also posted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) of $167 million, an increase of about 412% from the prior-year quarter.
CRCL shares were trading at $71.17 in pre-market trading, just under 16% above Tuesday’s close.
