- AMD’s RX 9070 GPUs are listed as available at a Danish retailer
- The alleged photos were also provided by a retailer in Israel.
- Release date rumors strongly point to something happening on January 23rd or 24th.
AMD’s RX 9070 graphics cards are already in the hands of retailers, if the latest rumors about RDNA 4 GPUs are correct.
VideoCardz noted that a Danish retailer (Foniks) actually had both the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT listed as available on their website, although those listings have now been removed. This was pointed out by @momomo_us, a regular X leaker.

The tech site also pointed out a Reddit thread where a staff member at a store in Israel provided alleged photos of both the RX 9070 and its 9070 XT sibling (skeptical as always, but they seem pretty genuine).
Those photos have now been removed from Reddit, but the thread remains (at the time of writing) and VideoCardz saved and posted them.
On top of that, a German price comparison site, Geizhals, also listed the RX 9070
Analysis: Strong signs of an imminent release of RDNA 4
The interesting thing here is that, as someone else (CrateDane) noted in the Reddit thread, Foniks had the RX 9070 listed as “In Stock” briefly, but then it was changed to “On Order, expected to be in stock for the January 23” before the listings were published. completely knocked down.
So, here we mention January 23 and 24 as a possible release date, which supports other recent rumors. B&H Photo previously accidentally listed the RX 9070 and RX 9070 AMD chip in the RX 9070, according to rumors) will be produced on January 24.
So at this point, we’d be surprised if something didn’t happen on January 24 (or 23), whether it’s the full announcement of the RX 9070 models or these graphics cards actually going on sale.
If you’re thinking: weren’t these RDNA 4 GPUs announced at CES 2025? – Yes, they were, but barely, with hardly any details revealed. AMD wants to present the RX 9070 boards with its own showcase and, from all indications, also wanted to see the presentation and price of Nvidia’s big RTX 5000, before deciding on its own prices, which will be suitably attractive, we are told.
However, as far as what AMD has officially said in terms of dates, all we have is a launch timeframe of Q1 2025. Frank Azor, AMD’s head of gaming and consumer marketing, previously said that There will be a dedicated RDNA 4 launch event, and VideoCardz also noted that another Red Team executive, Donny Woligroski, a senior marketing manager, backed this, but without providing any firm date. However, it will apparently be soon; probably within a week, perhaps, or even sooner, if all these clues that have been dropped are not hopelessly wrong. (Or if AMD changes its mind again within the next week, although that seems unlikely.)
Why wait until the end of January, you might be thinking. Well, this gives AMD adequate distance from the noise and hype surrounding the CES 2025 reveals and, of course, the opportunity to interfere with the launch of Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and 5090, which will take place on December 30. January (although reviews will likely be released a little earlier). that, following the rumors).
Frank Azor previously stressed that there are certainly no delays around RDNA 4, and that’s not an issue here, as indicated by the apparent appearance of the RX 9070 models at retailers.
