Microsoft has announced two OEM partnerships to expand its Windows 365 cloud PC portfolio, which will now include an Asus and a Dell device.
Announced by Windows VP of Commercial Marketing Stefan Kinnestrand in a blog post, the two third-party devices will boot directly into Windows 365 for a cloud-hosted Windows desktop experience.
Compared to regular Asus and Dell PCs, these Windows 365 cloud PCs will have no local workload, application or data needs, but will instead run everything from a separate server.
New cloud PCs with Windows 365
Starting with the Asus NUC 16, Asus says it is powered by the “latest Intel processor” with DDR5 memory, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and 2.5GbE LAN. It has USB-A and USB-C ports, as well as HDMI, and since it occupies a volumetric space of around 0.7 liters, it is perfect for mounting behind a monitor.
With support for up to three displays, Asus is promoting it as a modern desktop sharing device.
As for the regular NUC 16 mini PC in its Pro configuration, the specs top out with Intel Core Ultra The Windows 365 Cloud PC version will differ slightly, but it’s clear that this compact desktop can have high-end configurations.
On Dell’s side, its Pro Desktop features Intel N-series processors in a compact, fanless design. It can also support up to three displays, but is being positioned more towards regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, and the public sector.
Both OEMs are targeting general availability in the third quarter of 2026, although finer details, including pricing, are still under wraps. The two devices join Microsoft’s existing Windows 365 Link device, which is currently available in 20 countries.
