Killing Her Family Dog Helped Kristi Noem Come to Power: Here’s How

United States (US) President Donald Trump considers Kristi Noem an asset to his cabinet because she killed her family dog, an explosive new book claims.

NBC journalist Julia Ainsley’s next book, Improper process: The inside story of Trump’s mass deportationwhich was discussed in The Atlantic, claims that President Trump chose Kristi Noem as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to lead the immigration crackdown because of her history of shooting her “untrainable” family dog.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem revealed that she killed her family dog, calling it a “responsible parent, dog owner, and neighbor” story.

In her memoir, published in 2024, Noem shared the story of her animal slaughter and claimed that she euthanized a goat the same day she shot her dog.

The former South Dakota governor also admitted to killing three horses in a separate incident, while stating that “we love animals.”

Ainsley’s book is based on extensive research and cites internal DHS sources.

His book corroborates the The Wall Street Journal report that DHS was in a constant state of chaos.

Insiders told the outlet that Secretary Noem focuses more on her personal stardom and less on work, adding, “She has a penchant for doing photo shoots with armed officials.”

Kristi Noem has yet to react to the report published in The Atlantic.
