Nintendo has suggested that Switch 2 players install Resident Evil RequiemThe first day patch before returning to Raccoon City.
the newest resident Evil The game finally launched today for PC and consoles, but those playing on Nintendo Switch 2 may want to think about downloading the day one patch first.
“The ‘Day 1 Patch’ (Ver. 1.1.0)
A package containing several fixes has been released. Make sure you apply the ‘Day 1 patch’ before playing,” Nintendo said in an official post.
Nintendo didn’t provide details on what issues will be addressed in the patch, but we suspect they could include some minor performance issues that TechRadar Gaming encountered when playing on the console.
While Requiem runs well overall, game editor Dashiell Wood experienced some frame rate drops, particularly during Leon’s sections.
Look
“Basically, any time you play as Leon will range from ‘a little difficult’ to (in very few cases) ‘almost unplayable’ thanks to a very choppy frame rate.” he wrote.
“The goal is 30 frames per second (fps), but in my opinion, Leon’s segments are around 20 fps at best.”
“In an early sniper segment where you take out enemies from afar, rendering such a large area seems to push the Switch 2 to its limits, and I actually missed a handful of shots thanks to the terrible frame rate that makes for some frustrating gameplay screens.”
