The MWC (Mobile World Congress) technology exhibition is undoubtedly one of the most important of the year. It brings together the biggest names in technology, multitudes of people working in the industry and many journalists, including the hard-working team at TechRadar.
Each year, the Barcelona-based event is used to showcase a wide range of devices and other technologies, and we’ve been busy getting all the news and announcements. What you’ll find below are our picks for the best pieces of hardware we’ve found so far.
1. Nothing Telephone 4a
Nothing smartphones can usually be trusted to be affordable, innovative, and stylish, and the Nothing Phone 4a series looks set to continue those traditions. We were able to see the phone for the first time at MWC and the four colors in which it will be available.
There’s a lot you can tell about a phone when it’s behind a glass case, so we’re looking forward to testing it out as soon as possible. In the meantime, try to choose your favorite shade: black, blue, white or pink. A full announcement is expected on March 5.
2. Honor the robot phone
The Honor Robot Phone is definitely one of the more unusual phones we’ve found in Barcelona, or even anywhere else. It has a camera built into a small robotic arm, which can be extended when you want to capture some photos or videos.
Thanks to that robotic arm, the camera can follow you and whatever you’re doing, so it’s like a high-end webcam or vlogging camera that you can take with you anywhere. Think about a DJI Pocket 4 built into your phone. However, we’re still waiting to find out when it will go on sale or how much it will cost.
3. Snapdragon Wear Elite
We always get a chipset story or three at MWC, and for 2026 Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon Wear Elite. This premium piece of silicon will soon appear in all sorts of different wearable devices, likely including smartwatches and various AI-powered devices.
What makes the Snapdragon Wear Elite special is the amount of processing it can do on its own, without sending anything to the cloud, and that means faster response times for whatever you’re doing. It also brings with it improvements in power and efficiency.
4. Lenovo Legion Go Fold Concept
We’ve never had it so good in terms of portable gaming devices as we do now, and Lenovo is hoping to capture a slice of the market with the new Lenovo Legion Go Fold, although for now it remains a concept product rather than something you can actually buy.
As the name implies, this particular handheld folds: it features a 7.7-inch screen when closed and an 11.6-inch screen when open. Then you place the controllers on each side and that’s it. There are some pretty decent specs under the hood too.
5. Leica Leitzphone
The veteran camera Leica has presented the Leitzphone, manufactured in collaboration with Xiaomi. It’s the first Leica phone to launch globally (although, sadly, it looks like the US will miss out) and is sure to appeal to serious mobile photographers.
The main camera on the back of the Leitzphone has a 50-megapixel, 1-inch sensor, as well as LOFIC technology that should ensure more natural shots. There’s also a manual ring around the camera, which we really like, which gives you a way to manually adjust camera settings.
6.Honor Magic V6
We’ve seen foldable phones before, but the Honor Magic V6 raises the bar again. Not only is it the thinnest foldable phone released to date, but it also comes with an IP69 rating for excellent protection against water and dust, which is no easy feat for a phone that has a foldable hinge.
The other specs you’ll want to know about are the 6,660mAh battery, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and stylus support. With an internal screen that measures 7.95 inches from corner to corner, it’s a true rival to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.
7. Moto Buds 2
Motorola took the opportunity of MWC in Barcelona to launch the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus wireless earbuds, and there are a lot of things to like about them, including the audio quality designed in partnership with Bose that you get with the Plus earbuds.
We have active noise cancellation (ANC) on both models and these headphones are actually very reasonably priced (although we’re still waiting for full details on availability). Battery life is another highlight, both with and without charging cases.
8. ThinkBook AI Modular PC Concept
Back to Lenovo, the company has also been demonstrating a ThinkBook Modular AI PC concept here at MWC. It comes with not one but two screens, and they are detachable, so multiple different screen configurations are possible, not just that of a standard laptop.
You basically have two mini monitors to accompany your keyboard (and the rest of the laptop), and it’s sure to appeal to those looking for more flexibility on the go. At the moment, however, it is not certain that this intriguing concept will enter production.
