LG has good news for you if you’re coveting the new LG OLED G6 and LG OLED C6 TVs: prices won’t go up this year, and one price has actually dropped.
US pre-orders are now open, with prices starting at $1,399 for the 42-inch LG C6 and $2,499 for the 55-inch LG G6. That’s the same price we saw for the LG C5 and LG G5 of the same size last year.
That’s not all. The 83-inch C5 is $100 cheaper than last year’s model, all C6 models have the same processor as the G6, and the 77- and 83-inch C6 TVs have the same panel as the G6 with what LG calls Hyper Radiant Color technology, which is on all G6 models except the 97-inch (more on this later).
LG C6 and LG G6: key features and prices
Both ranges are powered by the Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 processor, run webOS 26, and feature 165Hz gaming with NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, and a 0.1ms response time.
They support Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and, on the G6, Filmmaker mode with ambient light compensation. LG says the G6 is its brightest OLED yet: up to 3.9 times brighter than “a regular OLED TV,” by which it usually refers to its own B-series models.
The LG C6 is available in six sizes: 42, 48, 55, 65, 66 and 83 inches. The LG G6 comes in five sizes: 55, 65, 77, 83 and 97 inches.
The 97-inch G6 uses a different panel than all the others: it’s a much older panel, much less bright, and hasn’t really been updated in years, because it’s not a batch More 97-inch OLEDs are sold compared to the other sizes.
