The second and last trailer of the boys Season 5 has been revealed, and it not only reveals Homelander’s manic master plan to rule the world, but also the titular team’s plan to stop him.
Almost exactly three months after the release of The boys 5In the first trailer, the show’s latest round of footage shows off its last hurray and will end in typically explosive, ultraviolent and darkly comic fashion.
With the final season of Prime Video TV Original set to premiere on April 8, it’s time to learn more about what its plot will entail. Fortunately, the latest trailer for said season, which you can see below, brings gifts with some answers.

So what does it reveal? Well, Homelander is looking for a vial of V1, aka the first Supe-creating serum created by Vought that was given to his father, Soldier Boy. Homelander seems to force his useless father to help him too, although I’m not sure why the incredibly powerful Soldier Boy would take orders from his son when, you know, he didn’t in season 3.
Anyway, Homelander wants to inject himself with some V1, becoming immortal and becoming an unkillable force of nature who will eventually rule the Earth with an iron fist.
However, Billy Butcher and his ragtag group of freedom fighters stand in their way. And, with the group armed with the last remaining strain of the Supe-killing virus, Butcher wants to use it on the world’s superpowered population before it’s too late to stop Homelander. Somehow, I can’t imagine the rest of the group coming face to face with their deranged, traitorous leader in Butcher…
The starting team will not be alone in the attempt to take down Homelander. In fact, with some of Generation VFor the Supes students, including the extraordinarily powerful blood manipulator Marie Moreau, the playing field is somewhat level. An answer to my most important question: how do Marie and Generation VDoes the cast fit this season’s story? – continues to elude me in the official Season 5 trailer.
The presentation of a latest preview that generated expectation should not be a surprise. In late February, Prime Video said it would try the boys‘fanbase to even more good things in the near future. At the time, I opined that another full trailer was at the top of my Amazon wish list. Fortunately, Amazon confirmed yesterday (March 4) that a new preview of The boys 5 It would be released today (March 5), so the wait for its arrival was not long.
With just over a month to go (at time of publication) before the boys‘The final season is here, it’s time to remember what the chess board looks like.
