Maisie Peters gave her Melbourne audience an unexpected gift on Wednesday night when Ed Sheeran took to the stage to join her for a surprise duet, a moment that clearly meant a lot to them both.
Sheeran, 35, appeared on Peters’ show on March 4 during his Before the Bloom tour in Australia, performing his 2017 hit. castle on the hill alongside the 25-year-old singer.
Peters shared a clip of the performance on Instagram, captioning it with heartfelt warmth. “Thank you @teddysphotos for singing the best song with me at my show in Melbourne tonight,” he wrote.
“I still remember seeing you play this one in the 60 concerts we did together, and it was so magical to be able to join you at one of them. Best thing I’ve ever done.”
Sheeran is currently in Australia as part of his own Loop Tour, which will take him to the Dominican Republic on May 9 before concluding in November.
Meanwhile, Peters is preparing for a busy year.
His third studio album, Florescencewill be released in May, following their 2023 sophomore album, The Good Witch.
