The United States plans to use UK Royal Air Force bases to launch an attack on Iran, which US President Donald Trump called “big.”
According daily mail, The USAF’s stealth bomber fleet, including the B1, B-2 and B-52, is en route to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and Diego Garcia on the Chagos Islands.
These bombers can carry some of the deadliest payloads without being detected. Their deployment to RAF bases came after UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer allowed the United States to use British bases for collective defence.
Sources told the outlet that the United States and Israel could carry out the “major operation” against Iran on Saturday, a week after launching military strikes against the country, which resulted in the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Threatening Iran with the “big wave,” the US president said: “We haven’t even begun to hit them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened.”
Experts told the outlet that the United States could use the “mother of all bombs” against Iran to destroy underground tunnels, bunkers and missile launch sites. For the uninitiated, GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) is considered the deadliest non-nuclear weapon developed by the US.
It is a 21,000-pound explosive that creates a 1,000-foot hole in the ground, eliminating underground targets. However, there has been no official confirmation from the United States about the possible use of MOAB against Iran.
