pragmatics was announced back in 2020 and was initially scheduled for a 2022 release window. However, in January 2021, Capcom delayed the game to 2023.
As we now know, the game also failed to meet that release window and was then delayed indefinitely until, during the June 2025 State of Play, Capcom finally announced a new 2026 release date.
TechRadar’s lifestyle editor-in-chief Josephine Watson played the demo on the Nintendo Switch 2 and said the game “went from being the least anticipated game this year to one of the most exciting releases coming soon.”
“Overall, and if early rumors and development updates prove true, Pragmata could very well create a genre unto itself, another trait it shares with death stranded“Watson said.
“It’s really exciting to have a game like that, with such potential to completely dominate my free time, due to it being released on a console that I can play wherever I want.”
