- We have an official teaser image of the OnePlus 15T
- The phone will be launched in China later this month.
- Expands OnePlus’ definition of ‘king of the small screen’
We gave the OnePlus 15 a rare five out of five stars rating after its launch in October, so we’re eager to see what the updated OnePlus 15T phone update has to offer, and we’ve just received our first official look at the phone.
OnePlus took to Chinese social media platform Weibo (via Notebookcheck) to give us a teaser image of the OnePlus 15T. As you can see, the design language is very similar to what we saw with the OnePlus 15.
However, we do have a couple of new colors to check out, green and brown. It’s not yet clear what OnePlus’ official names will be for these colors, or if these are the only colors you’ll be able to buy the phone in.
The text on the teaser graphic says “Performance and battery life beat big screen phones, flagship experience beats small screen phones,” based on translation software, giving you an idea of how OnePlus is positioning this app.
This is what we know
Thanks to previous teases from OnePlus and its executives, we know quite a bit about the upcoming OnePlus 15T. It will apparently feature very narrow bezels (a little more than a millimeter), maximizing the available screen size.
That screen size will be 6.3 inches from corner to corner, compared to 6.78 inches on the OnePlus 15T. OnePlus executive Li Jie Louis has previously called the phone a “small screen king” (via a translation app), which stretches the definition a bit.
We also know that there will be a large capacity 7500 mAh battery inside the OnePlus 15T, surpassing the 7300 mAh of the OnePlus 15. We will also get 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, with the main flagship offering 120W and 50W respectively.
The latest confirmed news is a 3.5x telephoto lens, which matches the OnePlus 15, although there will only be two rear cameras instead of three. The phone will launch in China this month, and could then be available globally.
