Renowned Pakistani music composer Zulfiqar Ali Attre passed away after suffering a heart attack. He was 61 years old.

Attre, known for his extensive contributions to the Pakistani film industry, composed music for over 50 films during his illustrious career. His ability to create timeless melodies earned him a devoted fan base and the respect of his peers.

His final project as a music director, Welcome Punjab, remains incomplete and filming is currently underway. Attre’s work, however, will continue to resonate in the hearts of music lovers and filmmakers alike.

In 2024, the Government of Pakistan awarded him the prestigious Performance Pride, recognizing his significant impact on the country’s cultural landscape.

His funeral prayers will be held today at 1:00 pm at his residence, 304 Khyber Block, Iqbal Town, Lahore.

Pakistan’s film and music fraternity expressed deep grief over his demise and described him as an irreplaceable talent whose creativity inspired many.
