School employee arrested red-handed accepting bribe

A retired teacher accuses senior employee Salman Memon of demanding Rs 80,000 to process her retirement documents.

HYDERABAD:

A special team of Hyderabad Anti-Corruption Establishment carried out a raid at Hirabad’s Miran Government School and arrested senior official Salman Memon and Naib Qasid Noor Muhammad while “accepting bribes”.

According to anti-graft sources, a retired teacher, Sehar Bano, had filed a written complaint stating that senior officer Salman Memon had demanded and received Rs 80,000 on October 1, 2025, for processing documents related to her gratuity and other retirement clearances. He further alleged that he had been charged an additional Rs 800,000 at different times.

The complainant alleged that in the final stages of the process, the secretary continued to harass her and forced her to provide an advance check of Rs 450,000, threatening her, if she did not pay the amount, of registering a case against her and not disclosing her service book.

After receiving the complaint, the Anti-Corruption Department began an investigation and, in the presence of the civil judge concerned, carried out a raid. During the operation, Secretary Salman Memon and Naib Qasid Noor Muhammad were caught red-handed with the check and cash allegedly received as bribe.
