ISLAMABAD:
The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has ruled that appointments made under the government’s employment quota scheme for relatives of deceased or disabled employees remain valid if they were made before the scheme was abolished.
In its judgment, the court upheld the decision of the Larkana Circuit Bench of the Sindh High Court (SHC) and declared the appointments of the ten petitioners legal. The court also dismissed the appeals filed by the Sindh Government.
The verdict was delivered by Justice Aamer Farooq in a case related to the defunct quota policy.
