Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has taken the brunt of the negativity that social media has to offer as she has grown her following to over one million across multiple platforms.
Spiranac wrote on X on Thursday that there was at least one social media user who was a shining light for her despite all the criticism she receives.

“There’s a guy who comments ‘big cans’ on everything I post,” he wrote. “In a world full of hate and despair, I know he will always be there to lift my spirits.
“He’s never missed a job in years.”
Spiranac has returned sparingly to social media, explaining last month that she had been “depressed.”

“…And it’s not a one or two day thing,” Spiranac wrote on his Instagram Stories in February, via the New York Post. “This has been going on for a while. I feel like I’ve been so in my head about everything and I’m just trying to figure it out. I think that’s why I haven’t been posting as much because I’m overthinking everything and I feel like my anxiety has taken over.
“I’m trying to get out of that and post more and get back to what I was doing before. I feel like I haven’t been active because I’ve just been in my own head, in this kind of weird routine and we’re working on it.”
Spiranac lamented that she was not seen properly by her audience and others and said she believed she “was actually really misunderstood.”

While she admitted that her “routine” had her staying away from golf for a while, she said she hoped to create a more fun-focused golf series in the near future.
