Security forces kill five terrorists in Lakki Marwat IBO: ISPR

Security forces on Sunday killed five terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed group. Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat district, the army’s media wing said in a statement.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted the IBO on March 15 after receiving reports of the presence of terrorists in the area.

“During the operation, our troops effectively attacked the Khwarij location, and after an intense exchange of fire, five Khwarij were neutralized,” the statement said.

ISPR added that arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who had actively participated in numerous attacks in the region.

The statement said that a remediation operation is being carried out to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored Khwarij in the area as part of the relentless anti-terror campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”.

“Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue at full pace to eliminate the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” he added.
