The billionaire advisor to the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and his Artificial Intelligence (AI) czar, David Sacks, broke with the president over the war between the United States and Israel with Iran.
Sacks, considered a close ally of US Vice President JD Vance, expressed his opinion on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East during his appearance at the All in one podcast.
The 54-year-old South African-American businessman warned that should Israel be “severely destroyed,” which he said remains a possibility, the war could escalate to the use of nuclear weapons.
He said that since the United States has all but destroyed the Islamic Republic’s military capabilities, “we need to find a way out to end the conflict.”
He advised President Trump: “This is a good time to declare victory and get out.”
The White House confidant said the administration needs to find ways to de-escalate the conflict, which could include some type of ceasefire agreement or negotiating agreement with Iran.
Sacks’ opinion aligns with the reported position on the war by Vice President Vance, who has refused to publicly detail his position on the conflict. Trump admitted that Vance was “less enthusiastic” about the conflict.
Sacks, co-author of The myth of diversity: multiculturalism and the politics of intolerance, donated about $1 million to a super PAC backing Vance’s 2022 Ohio Senate campaign
