NYT Strands Today (Game #746): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 746 are…
- DESSERT
- CASSEROLE
- VEGETABLES
- DRINK
- SNACKS
- SPANGRAM: POTLUCK
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 track
In my opinion, the motto “bring a plate” could only mean one thing: buffet. After not being able to detect any letter F in the game, I wasted time trying to connect the self-service, but that was not there either.
Although POTLUCK is a buffet-like idea, the spangram was the last thing I found on the board as I walked around it, getting hungrier as I did so.
I also need a clue today, which forced me to start at the end with DESSERT. After my next pun, CASSEROLE, I couldn’t help but think of the comedy song. I can’t go back to salty now by John Shuttleworth, the story of a man’s struggle to return to his main course after enjoying his pudding.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Wednesday, March 18, game #745)
- STYLE
- COACH
- BLOOD
- LESSON
- CUT
- CONSERVATIVE
- CYCLE
- SPANGRAM: BEYOND
