Lisa Kudrow has opened up about what she considers the biggest stroke of luck of her life and that it has nothing to do with landing one of the most beloved roles in television history.
talking to The Hollywood ReporterThe Emmy-winning actress, 62, reflected on her 30-year marriage to advertising executive Michel Stern and why the moment of their meeting means the world to her.
“I feel like the luckiest thing that happened to me was that I met and fell in love with the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with before. Friendsright before,” he said.
The couple married in 1995, just a year later. Friends premiered and welcomed her son Julian in 1998.
Julian is now 27 years old and it turns out that creativity runs in the family. He will make his acting debut in the upcoming third season of HBO. The returnplaying an expert in artificial intelligence technology, and the series will premiere on March 22.
As for the marriage itself, Kudrow has always been honest about what she believes makes it work.
talking to Glamor In 2014, she described the commitment she and Stern made to each other not as a promise to love each other forever, but as a promise to keep working at it.
“We don’t promise to love each other forever… but we do promise to work on any issues that arise,” he said. “We are committed to making our marriage work.”
