crimson desert It does not currently support Intel Arc GPUs, according to the Pearl Abyss FAQ page, including several Reddit and Steam users.
This means that laptop, notebook, or desktop systems using integrated or discrete Arc GPUs will not boot. crimson desertwhich often displays a message saying “the graphics device is not currently supported”.
Pearl Abyss’s response on its FAQ page raises further concern for Intel Arc users, as it says: “If you purchased the game expecting Intel Arc support, please check the refund policy of the platform where you purchased the game for available options.”
While that doesn’t completely rule out any possibility of eventual support for Intel Arc, there is a slight concern that there won’t be any urgent push for support in the near future. We have reached out to Pearl Abyss about the matter but have not yet received a response.
Crimson Desert does not run if it detects an Intel ARC GPU. At first, the developers simply deliberately chose not to support ARC cards. crimson desert It already has a lot at stake in terms of some players not adapting well to the onboarding experience. The control scheme and UI are not popular, there are no options for custom controls (for controllers) and now, the lack of Intel Arc GPU support might scare away some players.
Fortunately, Pearl Abyss has shown its commitment to implementing changes based on feedback, both in the review period and after launch, so there’s a good chance Intel Arc users won’t have to wait long to finally dive in.
However, as things stand, it might be better if Intel Arc users refrained from purchasing altogether crimson desert until Pearl Abyss adds more clarity to the situation, and when (or even if) we should expect support. After all, it’s a great game and runs well on most hardware, but it’s no use having a game you can’t play.
