Golfing great John Daly shared a funny moment that could have been more serious after watching a video he posted on social media, calling himself a “jacka–” in the process.
Daly was on desert terrain at La Paloma Country Club for the Cologuard Classic, trying to hit a shot toward a green when he lost his balance.
While trying to gain traction in the sand, Daly’s feet fell out from under him and he slid down a long desert hill. Several people got involved and voluntarily jumped down the hill to see if Daly was okay.

Daly was unscathed, but he enjoyed putting the theme song from the “Jackass” franchise in the video to share with the masses.
“Bellyfloppin’ in the desert,” Daly captioned the video, shouting out to his caddie, Joel Cooley, who sprang into action to see if his partner was okay at the bottom of the hill.
“On today’s episode of ‘jacka**'” was also seen at the top of the video.

Although he doesn’t often show his baby bump, Daly remains a key figure in golf.

He spends most of his time in the Champions Tour field, which features former PGA Tour players ages 50 and older. His most recent round came on Sunday, where he finished in a tie for 29th with a 6-under tournament finish at the Cologuard Classic.
Daly was just named a 2026 Golf Ambassador Award honoree ahead of the Kaulig Enterprise Championship at the exclusive Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. The award recognizes those who make an impact on the field and in their communities off the field.
“I have always loved this game and what it has given me,” he said in a press release prior to the award. “Golf has taken me places I never imagined and introduced me to incredible people along the way. Being recognized with the Golf Ambassador Award is truly an honor and I am proud to support the meaningful work being done here in Northeast Ohio.”

Daly’s impact on the sport is quite iconic, whether it be his monster drives off the tee, his victory in the 1991 PGA Championship as the ninth alternate in the field, or his victory in the 1995 Open Championship at St. Andrews, forever marking himself as a multiple-time major winner.
His larger-than-life personality has always been on display, even today in silly moments like these on and off the field.
