Prime Minister Shehbaz discusses Middle East tension and peace efforts with his Malaysian counterpart


The Prime Minister of Malaysia shared details of talks with world leaders and emphasized the need to end the conflict in the Middle East.

Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif discussed the Gulf situation and regional tensions with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim after receiving a phone call from him on Thursday.

Praising Prime Minister Shehbaz for his leadership, the Malaysian Prime Minister also shared details of his conversations with several world leaders, emphasizing the immediate need to end the Middle East conflict. He offered Malaysia’s full support to Pakistan’s peace efforts.

Prime Minister Shehbaz appreciated the message of support from the Prime Minister of Malaysia for the efforts of Pakistan’s leadership in mediating to end the current tensions in the Middle East. He briefed Malaysia’s prime minister on the latest diplomatic efforts, including his talks with the leaders of brotherly Gulf countries and Iran to bring the United States and Iran to the negotiating table.

Prime Minister Shehbaz thanked the Prime Minister of Malaysia and assured him that Pakistan would continue its sincere and genuine efforts to reduce tensions in the region. Both leaders agreed to maintain mutual contact, exchanged Eidul Fitr greetings and prayed for the unity and development of the Muslim Ummah.
