The PlayStation Portal Remote Player will also have a new price of $249.99 / £219.99, down from $199.99 / £199.99.
“We know that price changes impact our community and, after careful evaluation, we found this was a necessary step to ensure we can continue to deliver high-quality, innovative gaming experiences to players around the world,” said Isabelle Tomatis, vice president of global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Sony last raised the price of its hardware in August 2025, stating at the time that “a challenging economic environment” led to the “difficult decision” to increase the cost of PS5 consoles by $50.
