With about 2:30 left in the fight, Grasso landed some punches. She avoided Barber’s punches and landed a quick wall, stunning Barber and taking her down. Grasso quickly took advantage and put Barber in a rear-naked choke. He was credited with a victory by knockout.

Barber was completely sidelined, while Grasso celebrated her 17th win and first since March 2023 when she defeated Valentina Shevchenko via submission. The Barber fight was Grasso’s first since May 2025, when she lost to Natalia Silva by unanimous decision.

Barber was hospitalized after the fight, although she left the octagon under her own power.
