Not only is Princess Beatrice facing scrutiny over her parents’ ties to Jeffrey Epstein, but recent talk of marital tension has also taken a toll on her health.
Epstein’s files proved disastrous for the entire York family. Andrew has been living in exile at Wood Farm, Sandringham, while Sarah Ferguson’s whereabouts remain unknown.
However, Beatrice and Eugenie have paid the ultimate price for the former Duke and Duchess of York’s wrongdoings.
The sisters have been dealing with personal and professional setbacks.
More recently, it was reported that Beatrice’s relationship with her husband Edo suffered as the couple appeared “distant” in times of crisis.
Hello! Magazine shared that Princess Beatrice’s reaction to the endless scrutiny was revealed by her friend.
A friend of the York sisters said: “Bea has found the scrutiny very difficult, especially the tension of the last few weeks. She has felt as if things were in free fall and the commentators were beating her and bullying her.”
Despite the criticism, Andrew’s eldest daughter has remained calm like her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and has continued with her life while having to care for her children.
“This is a family in crisis, but Bea is working hard; juggling full-time work and being a mother is her top priority, to keep herself mentally strong and her life moving,” a source shared.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that Beatrice and Eugenie themselves refused to take part in Royal Ascot this year. The royal family extended the invitation following reports of a ban on the sisters.
“The question is, would they want to go to a public event of that nature? They will get criticism whether they go or not, and not just that event. They just can’t win,” the source said.
