Pick up one of the best iPhones and you’re guaranteed to get snappy performance, excellent cameras and a polished design, but there’s a new model on the market that adds a pretty special extra.
Caviar, known for making luxury custom iPhones, is now offering an iPhone 17 Pro with a piece of Steve Jobs’ turtleneck embedded in the case (via Notebookcheck). It’s something for the Apple fan who wants to stand out and has a lot of money.
The phone is launching in honor of Apple’s 50th birthday as a company, a celebration that TechRadar is also participating in – check out our guides to the best Apple devices of all time (as voted for) and our big Apple 50th anniversary quiz.

Jobs often wore a black turtleneck on stage during several major Apple product presentations, and the fabric Caviar apparently sourced came from the launch of one of the NeXT computers, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
‘Elevate your smartphone’
“This detail elevates the smartphone to a museum-worthy collector’s item, where Apple’s technological legacy meets a tangible trace of the man who shaped its destiny,” Caviar explains in the listing for the new phone.
A small turtleneck patch of the Apple logo can be seen on the design of the phone. The phone’s aesthetic will also be tweaked in an “iPhone 2G-inspired” way, with contrasting blocks of black and silver and custom engravings.
Underneath, though, this is all iPhone 17 Pro (or Pro Max): an Apple A19 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. You can choose your configuration on the Caviar site and add extras like personal engraving and your own unique packaging.
And the price? It starts at $9,630 (around £7,275/AU$14,045) for the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB version. Apparently only nine of these will be made worldwide, so if that sounds appealing to you, you might want to make a pre-order ASAP.
