Tiger Woods will not be at the Masters next weekend after he was charged with DUI following a rollover accident last week, Augusta national president Fred Ridley said Tuesday.
Woods has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the crash and his subsequent arrest. Ridley later released a statement, revealing that Woods will not be in Georgia for the event.

“Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament fully support Tiger Woods as he focuses on his well-being,” Ridley said. “Although Tiger will not be joining us in person next week, his presence will be felt here at Augusta.”
There was a possibility that Woods was looking to compete in the Masters when he returned to competition in the Golf League days before his accident. However, the accident in Jupiter Island, Florida, led to him driving under the influence with property damage and refusing to submit to a blood alcohol level (BAL) test.
Woods told law enforcement officials that he was distracted before the crash, according to an affidavit obtained by Pak Gazette Digital. The affidavit also said a search of Woods turned up two hydrocodone pills in his pants pocket.
He underwent a breathalyzer test after being booked into the Martin County Jail, returning a result of 0.00 on both samples. However, he refused to submit a urine test, which resulted in another charge.

TIGER WOODS’ EX-WIFE ELIN NORDEGREN ‘WORRIED’ AFTER DUI ARREST FOLLOWING ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: REPORT
This marks Woods’ second DUI arrest in the last decade. He was also arrested on Jupiter Island in 2017 after falling asleep behind the wheel of a moving vehicle at 3 a.m. after taking prescription medication.
Woods was also involved in a rollover accident in 2021 that resulted in serious leg injuries and emergency surgeries, which he was referring to during field sobriety tests.
Woods issued a statement early Tuesday, saying he would “seek treatment.”
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods said in a statement posted on social media. “I step away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary so I can prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.
