charlene white, loose women star and news anchor, has expressed her support for Meghan Markle, who was recently mocked on Saturday night live.
The broadcaster, who was criticized for not wearing a poppy on air during Remembrance Day, criticized the TV audience’s obsession with tearing down Meghan.
To stop the Duchess’ constant backlash, she said that she finds it “unfathomable” that people choose to be so critical.
She said: “We could do an episode featuring Harry and Meghan and people will chat about it on social media for weeks and weeks afterwards.
“I just can’t understand that people would become so deep and meaningful and also hateful towards someone they have never met before in their life,” he expressed his anger in a conversation with the daily mail at the British Diversity Awards at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London.
“It blows my mind and is unfathomable to me.”
White, who helped organize the diversity awards, continued: “I like talking about her, because I think it’s important that we talk about her without the intention of trying to get clicks and trying to take down yet another woman.
“I think that’s really important, when for some people hitting it is almost a sport.”
Cast member Hammed Animashaun made a scathing joke about Prince Harry’s marriage, joking that the duke was “going to marry a woman that 98 percent of the UK public would find impossible to have a normal conversation about.”
Royal fans were left divided by the specific joke, with one joking: “Ouchh!!! —— Again??”
However, another social media user said: “Smearing Prince Harry and Meghan just doesn’t cut it. It’s overused and frankly too transparent.”
